Welcome to my Man & Woman of the Year home page!

 I was recently nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man and Woman of the Year.  How could I say ‘no’ when it means that my team and I get to help The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raise funds for research that will find the cure for blood cancers.

 

This campaign is very special to me because the Boy of the Year is Austin Gatus.  Austin is the son of one of my good friends, Eva.  When I found out about Austin’s diagnosis years ago, it broke my heart.  I wanted to do something to help in my own way. I mean, how could a 9 year old be diagnosed with blood cancer­  The truth is, blood cancers can strike anyone, young or old, female or male, and it doesn’t matter what your social status is, blood cancers do not discriminate.

  

This is why I am asking you today to join me in this very important cause, by making a donation to LLS.  Each dollar that my team and I raise counts as a vote to cure cancer.  Don’t be misled by the name of the campaign as it is NOT about me or my team, it is simply a friendly competition to raise as much money as possible to save lives.
